第三节 职业倾向测试表点评
所谓职业倾向测试,就是判断你适合哪种类型的工作。不同的职位需要不同的素质,秘书需要的素质是注重细节,经理需要看到重点,而不仅仅是细节。所以,对于职业倾向测试的问题,没有标准答案,唯一的标准就是你所申请的职位需要什么样的素质。
宝洁的职业测试表格长达12页,目的在于从如过江之鲫的应聘者中筛选出几个“完人”:有领导能力,也能被人领导;有创新能力,又能适应环境;敢于承担责任,又懂规避风险……填写表格本身就是宝洁对申请人的第一次筛选,英文不好、没有耐心、没有自信心的人几乎没办法完成这么长的表格!
很多人在填写表格的时候会选择包装自己,揣摩HR的喜好,从而在很多选项上说谎话,从来没有当过团队领导的人也宣称自己有超强的领导能力。结果就造成了一种可笑的局面——90%的申请人都把自己描述成“有领导能力、有合作精神、有创新思想”的青年才俊和才女。而这些夸大其词的描述由于没有事实为根据,一眼就会被HR看穿,这是年轻人的可爱之处:他们敢于大胆说谎。
其实,宝洁的职业倾向测试只是想帮助茫然的年轻申请人进行自我定位,如果你真的适合做“管理培训生”,好,过来面试!即使你在激烈的竞争中失败了,你至少知道自己的性格是适合做管理的。如果你实话实说却没有获得面试机会,好,专家觉得你不适合做管理,起码目前不适合。该干什么干什么去吧,等膀硬了再来竞争经理的宝座。
我们现在挑选一些重点的题目,分析一下如何填写“职业倾向测试表格”。

(2) Nationally ranked as one of the best for my area of study(在所学领域居全国一流地位。
(3) Strong academically but not consistently ranked as best for my area of study (学术比较强,不过并未排入一流学校)。

(点评:优秀人才不应该为此而困扰,因为帮助别人应该使你感到巨大的成就感。)
